Land Rover, Principal Sponsor of Southern Sailing Challenge tomorrow

Land Rover, the iconic British motoring brand, partners with the Southern Sailing Challenge as the Principal Sponsor of the event. Organised by Sri Ruhunu Sailing Club, Sri Sails and SaiLanka, the event will take place on 14 February at the picturesque Weligama Bay, Mirissa.
The Southern Sailing Challenge is an initiative to drive Sri Lanka towards becoming an international sailing destination. Sri Lanka’s bountiful beaches and crystal clear beaches make it an ideal destination for sports such as sailing and surfing.
The highly-anticipated competition strives to attract over 40 boats for the sailing challenge. With five different classes of boats ranging from yachts, 10-14 ft sailing boats and the Optimist class for the boys and girls under the age of 16, the Southern Sailing Challenge will be a fun yet challenging experience for all participants.
The Southern Sailing Challenge has many of the top sailors from Sri Lanka and international sailors have also registered for the event. This array of skilled competitors also includes Sri Lanka’s very own Asian Games Bronze Medallist Lalin Jirasinghe, who will be skippering the Mini Bee yacht.
