Lanka shooter qualifies for 2012 London Olympics

SriLanka shooter Mangala Samarakoon has qualified to take part in the 2012 London Olympics, Sri Lanka National Olympic Committee said.

According to the President of the National Shooting Federation Rear Admiral Shemal Fernando International Shooting Sport Federation has officially announced that Samarakoon had qualified in the 50 Meter Rifle Prone event.

Samarakoon is a soldier in the Sri Lanka Army and hails from the central town of Welimada.
