The Sri Lankan badminton team which participated in four junior events and one senior category event which were approved by the World Badminton Association held in Europe to measure the capacity level of the players of Sri Lanka for Olympics has arrived in the country. Over 25 countries participated in the matches. Sri Lanka’s Buwaneka Gunathilake reached number 34 in the junior category of World Badminton rankings. Sachin Dias achieved number 44 and Kamodh Rashmika achieved number 64 in the rankings. Sachin Dias and Buwaneka Gunathilaka achieved number eight in the World Badminton rankings for doubles.
