Lankan Islanders Cricket Club team from Australia on SL tour this year

The Lankan Islanders Cricket Club team based in Sydney, Australia, has been in existence for the past five years and will embark on its first tour of Sri Lanka in July 2013. Captained by Mark Fonseka, this young team has already produced two players who have played for New South Wales at club and school level. Their itinerary in Sri Lanka includes five matches against local club teams. In addition they will conduct two training sessions for young local players, one in Seenigama and the other in Jaffna, making them one f the first overseas Cricket teams to visit Jaffna. The team will also be visiting several places of cultural and historic interest in Sri Lanka during their stay.
