Maduranga Caldera rides for WURTH

Wurth announced a partnership with the national champion rider Maduranga Caldera for the year 2015-2016, to carry the brand and use quality Wurth products for setting and maintenance of the racing bikes.  Both Maduranga and Wurth signed a partnership agreement recently, and Maduranga was already seen in action in Nuwara Eliya, Pannala and Katukurunda during the year with the WURTH brand on his bikes.  

Maduranga Caldera started his racing life in 1997, with an unexpected and unplanned entry with 1000CC open event at Katukurunda, took the podium by finishing second. Since then he has been proven to be a fast rider on racing track with many titles both locally and internationally. Korea, Indonesia, Maldives, India and South Africa are the countries where Maduranga has taken part at races to showcase Sri Lankan talents.

This is a great partnership for both Maduranga and Wurth, as Maduranga is a champion and he always relies on quality products, and that is why he selected WURTH as it has proven to be Champions’ Choice in Sri Lanka.

Maduranga Caldera’s 2015 podium finishes

Nuwara Eliya Road Races: Maduranga Caldera, champion rider for the past two years, finished first in both of his classes, champion in 600CC and 1000CC events at the Nuwareliya road races races in April. In his first outing for the year 2015, Maduranga showed his class, by taking the two podium finishes.    

Katukurunda Drag Races: Going ahead Maduranga, took part in Drag races and he won the titles for 1000CC championship and finished as second place in 600CC event. Drag races were held on 25th April on tracks of Katukurunda with participation of many racing stars. Wurth team was present supporting Maduranga and his pit crew.
