Malaysia’s R. Subram-aniyam Sashi Kumar won the Sri Lankan Airlines Golf Classic in the Gents Gross Score (over 36 holes) with 64 points whilst the Ladies segment was won by Pakistan’s Qin Ami with 50 points.
14th SriLankan Airlines Golf Classic was played in the Victoria Golf Course in Digana from 24 to 27 October. Responding to SriLankan Airlines’ consistent overseas promotional drive to promote leisure golf combined with family holidays, over 170 amateur golfers from 15 nations across the globe flew into Sri Lanka, to participate at the event.
A unique highlight of the tournament was the mother and son winning combination, with Ladies Overall winner Qin Ami’s son Hai Qunyu Steven (Pix 3072) taking the prize for the longest drive whilst also being runner-up in the Gents Division A (0-12 handicap nett category) with 72 points.
