One of Kandy’s other South Africans Quinton Crocker will leave Sri Lanka due to family commitments. Groeniewald, who is from Pretoria, is a classic Number 8 who represented the Leopards in 2009. He made his Vodacom Cup debut in 2012 for the Leopards.
The 24-year-old pack leader, who stands 1.88 metres tall and weighs 105 kilogrammes, will make his club debut for Kandy against CR&FC on 31 January.
