Maris Stella College and Maliyadeva College excel at the Samaposha Inter-School Football Championshi

The Under 15 Inter-School Football Championship, which was sponsored by Samaposha, the leading cereal brand of Plenty Foods Ltd,

a subsidiary of Ceylon Biscuits limited (CBL), concluded in Anuradhapura recently. The Samaposha Under 15 Inter-School Football Championship which began on 14 September saw 480 boys teams and 120 girls teams, with over 9000 students, representing 600 schools from all parts of the island. While the preliminary rounds were played at 30 centres island wide, the grand finale which featured the top 21 teams, kicked off on the 11, 12 and 13 October. While Maris Stella College Negombo, beat St. Josephs College, Anuradhapura to clinch the boys title, Maliyadeva College Kurunegala, emerged champions in the girls category beating Pallekanugala Primary School Kegalle.
