MAS sponsors CBB Sports Triangular

The Council for Business with Britain of the Ceylon Chamber Commerce (CBB) concluded its annual sports triangular (Cricket, Netball and Badminton) on Saturday, 15th November 2014 at the CH & FC Grounds (CCC ), Colombo for the 14th consecutive year. The event brought together many corporates including MAS, AIA Insurance, HSBC , JKH , Sunshine Holdings etc..to the playing field.

Winners cricket MAS. Linea Intimo MAS Active Linea Intimo emerged champions in the cricket tournament whilst Commercial Bank emerged Champs in Netball. The Badminton Championship trophy was awarded to HSBC. The Runners Up were MAS Active Contourline (cricket), MAS Active Shadeline (netball) and AIA Insurance (badminton)

All funds collected from the CBB sports triangular will be donated towards financing the CBB’s English Language Teacher Training Projectwhich focuses on the development English Language Training in Rural Schools across Sri Lanka. The project is supported by the British Council, in association with the National Institute of Education, the Ministry of Education and the University of Cambridge. The CBB Sixes was sponsored was by MAS Holdings for the first time. Co- sponsors were De La Rue Currency and Security Print (Pvt) Ltd, Mackwoods Ltd, Mercantile Investments and Finanace PLC, Finlays Colombo PLC,AIA Insurance Lanka PLC, Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Limited. The event was also supported by Abans PLC, E. B Creasy, Hellman Worldwide Logistics and BRC Lanka. Medical Support was by Medicalls (Pvt) Ltd.
