After a weekend’s lay off due to bad weather, the first Commercial Credit & Finance PLC sponsored MCA “F” division 25 over League Tournament 2016 got back on track last weekend.
The two centurions – Heshan de Silva from Nippon Paints, Sameera Fernando from Janashakthi Insurance and bowler R.P.C. Pinto from SAGT were on top of the honours list.
Heshan de Silva hit a blistering 112 not out in 42 balls, inclusive of 12 sixes and 08 fours to hand over Nippon Paints a 92 runs win over newcomers, CMA-CGM Containers.
Sameera Fernando hit a 60 ball 105 not out, inclusive of 07 sixes and 07 fours, as Janashakthi costed to a comfortable 83 runs win over Technomedics.
R.P.C. Pinto snapped up 05 wickets for 11 runs in 04 overs, inclusive of a maiden to hand over SAGT a cake-walk 08 wickets win over Barthi Airtel.
Other notable performances came from Buddhika Prasad from Heshan Flex Packaging (89 not out vs. DSI); Chandima Abeykoon from DSI (80 Vs. Heshan Flex); Joel Chrishanth from CMA –CGM Containers (89 Vs. Nippon Paints) & Faiz Ahamed from EB Creasey (78 not out Vs. Fairway Holdings).
