Mercantile Volleyball Tournament 2014 finals on 26 Oct. at SL Youth Indoor Stadium

The finals of the Mercantile Volleyball Tournament 2014 will be held on 26 October at the Sri Lanka Youth Indoor stadium in Maharagama. President of the Mercantile Volleyball Association and the Executive Director of C.W. Mackie PLC Mangala Perera said that arrangements had been made to conduct the tournament and a sum of over Rs. 1.5 million would be spent on prizes, trophies and certificates for the winners. The highlight of the tournament is the David Pieris Motor Company presenting a Bajaj motorcycle to the most outstanding player of the tournament. David Pieris Motor Company Deputy General Manager Lakshman Kumarasinghe recently handed over a Bajaj motorcycle to Perera. The tournament was held under three categories and over 1,200 players representing most of the mercantile sectors such as financial sector, telecommunication sector, hospitality sector, textile sector, plantation sector and food and beverage sector took part in the tournament.
