The new Mercedes-Benz E-Coupe and CLA were displayed at the Grand Hotel while the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class and Jeep Compass were displayed at the Golf Club. Guests, most of whom had driven their own Mercedes-Benz to the tournament from Colombo, were afforded ample opportunity to test drive the newly released A-Class during their stay. “The tournament was a great success,” said Ranjith Pandithage. “Our customers really enjoyed a great test of their golfing skills at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and were then able to relax afterwards at the Grand Hotel with their colleagues. We wanted to provide a perfect Mercedes-Benz level experience to all our golfers; and from the exceptional comments I received during and after the tournament, I believe we have had one of the most successful tournaments ever. I was really pleased with the organizing of the event; it truly was star-class!” Tournament accommodation was arranged for all players and their spouses at the Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya from Friday afternoon till Sunday morning courtesy of DIMO. A friendly evening of cocktails on Friday enabled participants to mix and mingle prior to the tournament, which commenced at 8 a.m. on Saturday with a single gunshot. Two Mercedes-Benz vans provided the golfers and their spouses with transportation between the Grand Hotel and the Golf Club throughout the tournament. The grand awards ceremony was held at the Grand Hotel Ballroom on Saturday night, followed by cocktails and dinner.
