The Milo School Knock-out Under 20 rugby tournament will commence from June 25, taking place at the CR & FC rugby grounds. The semi finals and the final will take place at the Royal Sports Complex.
Speaking to Daily FT, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) Denzil Darling said “We will hold the 4 quarter final encounters at CR & FC grounds. The two semi finals will be worked off at the Royal Sports Complex but If Royal is one of the teams to feature in semis then we will shift that game to CR & FC same will apply if Royal feature in the finals.
Denzil speaking further said “ We will take a final decision on the Dharmaraja vs Joes encounter which concluded in Kandy last week-end and course of action to be taken against the player/coach/school. We have also requested Trinity to send us the video evidence on the poor refereeing in their match against Science College at Pallekelle. Both these will be taken up at our next meeting which will take place on June 22 in Colombo.
According to reliable source defending the Milo knock out champions, Science College are finding it tough with funds and they look a doubtful starter at this tournament.
