Mobitel continues winning streak

As the 26th MSBA League Basketball Tournament 2016 continued for the 17th day at the Henry Pedris & Otter AC Courts, unbeaten Mobitel continued their winning streak with their sixth win on the trot, beating UB Finance comfortably 52/33, after leading 19/15 at half time, thus advancing to the quarter finals stage of the Mens “E” division. 

Nandun Chamara (20) & Rukshan Perera (13) were the top shooters for the winners; Joy Gregory (20) played a lone hand for the losers.

In another Men’s “E” division match, MillenniumIT scored their third win beating Aitken Spence Group, 53/46, after leading 27/18 at half time. Akila Wijesinghe (20) and Thahir Fazal (16) top scored for the winners; W. Anuradha (15) top scored for the losers.

Men’s “D” Division: Commercial Bank scored a convincing win over Nations Trust Bank “B”, 50/40, after leading 23/18 at the Breather; K. Kumaran (20) and A. Jonathan (11) top scored for the winners; W. Pramod (20) was outstanding for the losers.

The tournament is being continued at the same venues during the course of this week.
