Former Zahirian and CR & FC rugby player and one of the leading referees and former Assistant Coach of CR & FC, Mohamed Mushtaq was rewarded for his hard work when he was appointed for the Under 18 national rugby team which will tour Hong Kong later this month for the Junior Asian rugby tournament among all leading nations in Asia.
Mushtaq played for Zahira College in 1997 and later on represented CR & FC from 1997-2006. From 2004-2006 he was the deputy skipper of the Longdon Place Club. Mushtaq represented the national team at the Dubai, South Africa sevens and later on represented the national XV side at Rugby Asiad. He was also on touring party for the 1998 Commonwealth Games..
Mushtaq will be in charge of the Under 18 team which will be selected today and the outfit will travel to Hong Kong on 21 July. The tournament will take place 23-24 July. (SJ)
