‘MOTUL’ powers Ashan for more victories

Brand Ambassador for MOTUL Lubricants and Sri Lanka’s most promising Racing Driver, Ashan Silva, showed his prowess once again when he clinched two more victories at the recently concluded Gajaba Supercross held in Saliyapura, Anuradhapura. The ‘star’ among the racers on four wheels, Ashan maintained his lead throughout, winning both races in the most powerful event in Sri Lanka’s racing history, the SLGT 3500cc category.

In the first SLGT Super Cars event of the day, Ashan was way ahead from the word ‘go’ widening the gap as the race progressed battling with veterans Missaka Naveen who was placed second and Riyaz Farook who booked the third slot on the podium, as well as Aravinda Premadasa who was another competitor in the event. The ever-smiling Brand Ambassador for MOTUL Lubricants, is no stranger to competition, and thrilled more than 30,000 spectators who were present at the Gajaba Regimental Headquarters in Saliyapura. Ashan recorded his best lap timing at the Gajaba track during the previous day’s time trials and was sure of a clean sweep from the beginning. Having MOTUL 300V Racing Lubricants in his engines Ashan drove smoothly and without any hassle, proving that his engine overpowers all other cars on the track. MOTUL is focused on improving the reliability and performance of Lubricants thereby dramatically altering the Lubrication Industry by producing several world’s first, hence with his star class driving Ashan also went on to win both of the SLH 1600cc events as well, proving that he is on course to win a dual National Championship this year. Speaking to the media Ashan says that he is privileged to race with MOTUL Lubricants, thus giving him extra confidence and performance to achieve great results. He went on to say that it is his earnest aspiration to gain the best results thereby bringing honour not only to himself but also to his Sponsors, MOTUL.
