Muditha Hewawanitunga believes that commitment and dedication breeds success. In addition to personally sharing the responsibility as a regional manger of a finance company, he recently represented Sri Lanka in the world’s largest night race, OSIM Sundown Marathon, in Singapore.
With a wealth of experience in retail financial services and marketing, Hewawanitunga is one of Sri Lanka’s dynamic young marketers who have triple marketing memberships at CIM, SLIM and American Institute of Marketing. Further, he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce General Degree from the University of Delhi and M.Sc in Strategic Marketing at Asia at the University in Malaysia and has full membership of the Institute of Public Accountant in Australia.
As a professional lecturer and examiner at SLIM and the Open University of Sri Lanka, he also represents Colombo Malay Cricket Club in the P. Sara Division One Cricket tournament.
The marathon began from Marina Bay in Singapore and covered most of the commercial cities of Singapore. Hewawanitunga completed 21.1km within 3:47:12 hours. The race started on 28 May midnight in Singapore and finished the next morning.
Hewawanitunga was the only Sri Lankan representative, among roughly 25,000 competitors.
