Division A, categorised by a handicap of 0-9, was won by Primal Wijayanayake who secured 35 points, with Michael Perera Magala coming in second with a score of 34.
Division B, hosting players with a handicap of 10-18, was won by Druvi Sirisena 38, while Gihan Wickramasinghe came in a close second with 37 points.
Suneth Wijesinghe was declared the winner of Division C with a tally of 37 points, followed closely by Isam Salie who notched up 36 points in the handicap group of 19-28.
The Masters’ category saw Mahasena Jayatilake emerge as winner with 36 points and T.A. Weerasinghe finishing first runner-up with a score of 35. The seniors’ category was won by A.S. Abdeen, who scored 35, while Rienzie Fernando was the runner-up with a score of 30. Roshini Sanghani won the Ladies’ category, recording 36 points, while N. Amarasuriya emerged first runner-up.
Gehan Siribaddana clinched the Nations Trust Bank American Express Challenge Trophy for the highest stableford score of the tournament with 38 points, to walk away with a bill wipe-out of Rs. 100,000 on his American Express credit card.
The runner-up of the Nations Trust Bank American Express Golf Extravaganza was Jehan Ismail, who also received a trophy and a bill wipe-out on his American Express Card for Rs. 50,000.
The evening concluded with entertainment provided at the 9th Fairway, where participants and guests were invited for cocktails which followed the prize-giving. Special prizes were awarded to the bank’s customers with the next highest scores.
