Navy lead with extra game but Kandy to bounce back with lead

y 3 in Colombo. Kandy SC have obtained the service of a Tongan Player Koto Pongi who was playing club rugby in Japan. The Tongan giant is expected to play at the centre or wing forward position. Kandy will be at full strength when their South African Chris Colette returns for the CH & FC encounter. Navy SC had an outstanding game last week when they went past a gutsy Havies outfit who ran out of ideas in the second half. After leading in the first half, Havies lost focus with some changes which allowed the opposition a win. Havies are placed third but are expected to take the lead when they lock horns with Hambantota Sharks on January 3 at Beliatte. Havies have some outstanding players in their ranks such as Dulaj Perera, Shehan Pathirana, Mohamed Sheriff and Dhanushka Ranjan. Navy, too, are no pushover with some talented players in their camp at Welisara. Led by Yoshitha Rajapakse and ably supported by players such as Srinarth Sooriyabanadara, Reza Mubarak, Dinusha Fernando,Chamara Dabarare and Stefano, they are fully geared to keep the League title at home.
