Navy ‘A’ beat their ‘B’ team 2-0 to win the club title at the 20th People’s Bank Super Hockey Sevens tournament, organised by Seethadevi College and played at the Bogambara Stadium over the weekend. Meanwhile, Navy ‘A’ team beat Seethadevi 4-0 to clinch the women’s club title. Matale was made proud by the boys’ and girls’ outfit which stole the limelight in the schools section. In the Cup final Christ Church emerged victorious beating last year’s champions Vijaya College Matale. Sanghamitta Balika Maha Vidyalaya showed their dominance by edging out Seethadevi 1-0 in the girls’ final.

Plate - St. Sylvester’s beat St. Thomas, Matale 1-0, Vihara Maha Devi, Badulla beat St. Anthony’s Convent Kandy 1-0.
Cup – Christ Church beat Vijaya College 1-0, Sanghamitta Matale bt Seetha Devi 1-0.
Club men’s - Navy ‘A’ beat Navy ‘B’ 2-0.
Club women’s - Navy ‘A’ beat Seethadevi Sports Club 4-0.
