New deals with Lankan cricketers

Sri Lankan cricketers Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayewardena, Kumar Sangakkara, Thilan Samaraweera and Lasith Malinga are to sign contracts with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for the highest bid of US$ 127,000 or 13.9 million rupees per year, according to the agreements drafted by the cricket control body of the island.

Sri Lanka Cricket has finalized player contracts for national cricketers for the year 2011 / 2012 under 6 main categories.

Nuwan Kulasekara and Angelo Mathews are to be paid US$ 82,000 or 9 million rupees per year, according to the new contracts.

The players in the other categories are Upul Tharanga, Prasanna Jayewardena, Ajantha Mendis, Rangana Heart, Tharanga Paranavithana, Suraj Randiv, Dilhara Fernando, Thisara Perera, Chanaka Welagedera, Chamara Kapugedera, Thilina Kandamby, Dinesh Chandimal and Lahiru Thirimanne. (Colombo Page)
