NTB AMEX Golf Extravaganza fetes top players

The 4th consecutive Nations Trust American Express Golf Extravaganza was held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club recently with the participation of 230 players. The tournament was conducted over two sessions with shotgun starts in the morning and afternoon and was open to players in the categories Men, Seniors & Ladies. It was concluded with an award ceremony followed by cocktails.

Nishan Nawaratne clinched the Overall Winner title and walked away with the Nations Trust American Express Challenge Trophy for the year 2011. He was also awarded with the main prize of Rs.50,000 bill wipeout on his American Express Credit Card.

Division A, categorized by a handicap of 0 to 9, was won by S.J. Kim who scored 45 points with Richel Hameed coming in second with 38. Division B was won by Glenn Mathew who scored 41 points with Stopponi Giancarlo coming a close second with a score of 40. Vicram Misri was declared the winner of Division C followed closely by Anil Amarasooriya in second place.

In the senior category, J M Wanigasekera took home the trophy while in the Ladies category Ms. Jane Hong was declared the winner.

A number of Special recognition awards were presented to the Banks winning customers as well as customers coming in with the highest scores.
