Nugegoda Lyceumers soccer champions

At the Inter International Schools Soccer Tournament conducted by The British School in Colombo the Nugegoda Lyceum International School Under 17 Boys team emerged Champions beating Wattala Lyceum team at the finals. The following three players of Lyceum International School Nugegoda received special awards:- Best Player – Shavin Kaluthanthri Best Goal Keeper – Himath Weraduwa Best Defensive Player – Steve Kurunduhewa The Girls team of Lyceum Nugegoda were Runners up. At the finals Nugegoda Girls played against the British School. The matches were played at the Football Federation Grounds in Baddegana. The team was coached by Sarath Jayasinghe and Nishantha Silva. The teachers in charge were Sandarenu Herath, Dinithi Wijenayake and Chanaka Prasad.
