The Old Boys Union of St Joseph’s College, will once again organise the OBU Family Fun Day on Sunday 26 April at the college main grounds. This is a day out for the entire family. The organising committee has gone to great lengths to ensure lively entertainment for the ladies, gents, kids and of course to the Old Joes of different age groups. This year’s OBU Family Fun Day, will be laced with an Avurudu flavour, with traditional games such as kotta pora, kanna mutty, bannis kema, sack race and not forgetting the Inter Batch Six-a-Side softball cricket tournament. The day’s program will commence at 8:30 a.m. with the celebration of Holy Mass at the College Chapel. The highlight of the day would be the crowning of the over 40s Avurudu Kumari and the Kumaraya. Live music will be provided by the versatile Clifford and his Gang, while the catering arm of the Old Joes Sports Club will be dishing out scrumptious bites, lunch and cool beverages. A separate stall would provide ice creams and hot dogs to the kids while the ladies speciality, achcharu, too would be available. All food and beverages would be sold at purse easy prices and to top it all, entrance is absolutely free. So bring your family for a day of fun-filled enjoyment.
