Two crack overseas players Oscar Ouma (Kenya) and Koto Pongi (Tonga) who represented Kandy SC during their last season and supported the team to win the League and the Clifford Cup will be touring the Middle East in order to represent double champions Kandy Sports Club at the inaugural Asia Rugby Western Clubs Championship League Men’s fifteen a side tournament which will be worked off from 11 to 18 September in the Middle East.
Asia Rugby Western Clubs Champions League set to take place featuring four champion clubs from their most recent respective cross border or domestic competitions in the UAE-Gulf, Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan. The following four clubs will play against each other for the right to call themselves for the following year Champion Rugby Club in Western Asia:
nAbu Dhabi Saracens RFC-Asia Rugby West 2014/15 Cup Champions
nDoha RFC-Asia Rugby West 2015 Gulf Top 6 Champions
nKandy SC- Sri Lanka Rugby League 2014/15 Champions
nOlymp RFC- Kazakhstan National League 2014 Champions
