Pakistan Veterans Cricket team arrives

Pakistan Panthers Veterans Cricket Team arrived in Sri Lanka. During their stay they will play two matches in Colombo and two matches in Kandy. All Matches will be of 35 overs each. This Tour is organized by Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association.

Fawad Ijaz Khan is the Captain and Ashiq Hussain Qureshi is Vice Captain of the Team. Former Pakistan Test Captain Zaheer Abbas is accompanying the Team as Cricket Ambassador. Other members of the Team are Saleem Malik, (Former Pakistan Test Captain) Mansoor Akhter, Ashraf Pakhali, Ghaffar Kazmi, Nadeem Omar, Muhammad Sharif, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Syed Absar Hussain, Rafiq Ghani, Rizwan Nisar, Ahmed Nisar Zaman, Usman Haq and Najeeb Sadiq. They were welcomed by officials of Island Leisure Lanka at the airport on their arrival.

Following is the Itinerary:

2nd October 2011 – Match Against Western Province Veterans XI at S.S.C. Ground Colombo

3rd October 2011 – Match Against Western Province Veterans XI at P.Sara Stadium Colombo

5th October 2011 – Match Against Kandurata Veterans XI at Trinity Ground Kandy

6th October 2011 – Match Against Kandurata Veterans XI at Trinity Ground Kandy
