Pan Asia Bank overrun HSBC in quarter finals

Pan Asia Bank continued its unbeaten record with a fine all-round performance to record their quarter final win against HSBC in Mercantile ‘C’ division tournament.

At this match which was played at Katunayake FTZ Grounds on Saturday (30 January) Pan Asia Bank beat their opponents convincingly by 9 wickets. 

Pan Asia Bank bowled first and Anju Perera bagged 3 for 26 while Chamika Sansaka took 3 for 29 to limit HSBC to 157 in 47 overs. Chasing the HSBC score, Chamika Sansaka scored 69* and Kanishka Prashan 51* which helped Pan Asia Bank to reach the winning score with 9 wickets to spare in 35.1 overs.

With this win Pan Asia Bank qualifies for semi finals to be played against NTB on 6 February 2016 at Katunayake FTZ Grounds.
