Reuters: The controversial visit to a casino by Pakistani chief cricket selector Moin Khan during the current world cup is no longer under investigation because he has apologised, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan said on Tuesday.
Moin Khan said he had visited the casino in Christchurch, New Zealand only in order to eat.
“The matter is closed. He has explained. He has said that he was wrong, inappropriate to go to the casino. He has apologised to us as well as the nation. The matter now stands closed,” PCB head Shaharyar Khan told reporters after a meeting with Moin Khan at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Shaharyar said no further action would be taken against Moin Khan, aged 43 and a former Test captain.
