People’s Bank golden jubilee mega sports festival grand finale in Kurunegala

The commemorative golden jubilee mega sports festival of People’s Bank organised by the peoples bank sports club was held at Welagedara and Maligapitiya grounds Kurunegala on 22 and 23 October 2011.

Lakshmi K. Sangakkara acting Chairperson of People’s Bank present Six-a-side championship trophy to Hambantota regional cricket team. N. Vasantha Kumar CEO/GM of People’s Bank is also in the present.

Lakshmi K. Sangakkara, acting Chairperson of People’s Bank, Dr. D.J.D. Jayakody member of board of directors, N. Vasantha Kumar Chief Executive Officer/ General Manager of People’s Bank and members of Corporate and Executive management were participated in this occasion.  

Around 3000 of our staff members from island wide branches including North and East, were also actively participated in this sports festival.

Cricket, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Net Ball and a tug-o-war tournament was included for the festival.

Hambantota Regional Cricket team won the six-a-side cricket championship whilst the Volley Ball Championship won by the Wayamba Zonal team.

Head Office was the Net Ball Champions, Wester Zone 1 was the Football Champions and the Central Zone was the T-20 Cricket Champions. Head Office Tug-o-war team were the winners of the championship of Tug-o-war (men) whilst the Kandyan Women were the Tug-o-war (women) championship winners.
