People’s Bank Colombo Outer Region: Overall Athletic Champions of sports meet

People’s Bank Annual Sports Meet organised by the People’s Bank Sport Club, was recently concluded at the Vincent Dias Grounds, Badulla. 

The sports meet was held in the aim of encouraging sportsmanship, unity and mutual understanding among the team members through sports. A large number of staff members representing every region participated in this event. 

The Athletic Championship was won by the Colombo Outer Region while the Badulla and Kandy regions were placed runners up. The Football Championship was won by the Gampaha region, whilst the Volleyball championship was won by Puttalam region. The highly- competitive Netball Championship was cinched by the Kegalle region and the Cricket championship was won by the Kalutara region. Batticaloa region won the Men’s tug-of-war game while the Women’s tug-of-war game was won by the Kandy region.

Corporate and Executive Management including People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar were present at this event.
