People’s Bank’s Volleyball Team Coach Ananda Warnathilake receives a special award from People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando

People’s Bank Sports Club recently hosted the 14th Annual Colours Night to felicitate the exceptionally skilled sportsmen and women of People’s Bank. The gala ceremony took place at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel. The night was complete with dance acts and musical interludes.

The ceremony saw 141 sportsmen and women receive colours for their achievements in 2014/2015. Some of the sports in which award winners were recognised were volleyball, football, badminton, hockey, cricket and basketball. The main awards were presented for achievements in athletics and table tennis, with special awards presented to pensioners who excelled in these areas.

Bank’s Volleyball Team Coach Ananda Warnathilake and the Table Tennis Coach Jothipala Samaraweera also received special honours.

People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando and CEO/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar, members of the corporate and executive management and sportsmen and women also graced the occasion.
