People’s Bank successfully concludes Kurunegala Sports Meet

People’s Bank held its Kurunegala Sports Meet on a grand scale at the Maligapitiya grounds in Kurunegala recently.

The inter-regional teams competed in several main sporting events such as cricket, volleyball, football, netball and other entertaining sports. Special events for the children of staff members were also organised and in addition to the Kurunegala region staff members, colleagues from Kandy, Matale and Polonnaruwa regions also participated in the event.

The overall winner of the Sports Meet this year was the Kandy region while Kurunegala and Matale regions were awarded the joint-runners-up trophy.

Present at this special occasion was People’s Bank Deputy General Manager (Branch Operations) Boniface Silva, Deputy General (Banking Support Services) Mahinda Premanath, the executive management and a large number of bank staff together with their families.
