Ponting admits batting failed

Australia skipper, Ricky Ponting admitted that the batting did not go as well as planned.

He said the openers had a tough job seeing off the new balls and Wade’s run out completely changed the momentum.  Ponting also praised the Lankan bowlers for using the slower ball effectively and it was a good one that got him out. He also credited the Lankans for coming in well prepared.
