Playing very steady golf and finishing with a score of 244 (81+83+80), Lamindu Rainika won the Sri Lanka Open Golf Championship title for 2014 by 11 strokes.

Runner-up H. Prashan Lakshitha carded an 87 in the final round to end up with 255.
Sathsara Dilshan, with 81 in his final round, ended up with a total of 239 during his three rounds to win the silver division for ages 11 to 14 years and established himself as a player to be reckoned with in the future.
He was 12 strokes ahead of Taniya Minel, who recently came third in a junior golf event in India. She too will be a name to watch out for in the years to come.
Main sponsor Prima Sunrise has supported this event over the last seven years and the Sri Lanka Golf Union is hopeful of reaching out to more youngsters to take up this game which today is considered one of the fastest growing sports in Asia.
