Rajans hold the edge over Antonians

By Shamseer Jaleel Dharmaraja College will be looking forward for their first win in the Singer League Under20 Division I encounter when they lock horns with Katugastota Atnonians today at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled at 4:15 p.m. Dharmaraja who are going through a lean patch after some outstanding performance two years back by becoming champions will be looking forward for their maiden win this year. Coached by former Sri Lanka sevens specialist Radhika Hettitarachchi, they were beaten by Trinity (37/50), Thomians (26/39) and Royal (5/17). Rajans have always given a good account of themselves before going down. On the other side of the coin, Antonians are yet to impress this season. The school with some individual talent is yet to perform as a team and last the 80 minutes of play. They are coached by a leading referee, Priyantha Gunaratne. Antonians lost to Trinity (13/49), Science (27/36) and Royal (10/38). This encounter will be controlled by Pradeep Fernando. Meanwhile Vidyartha will host Mahanama tomorrow at Nittawela.
