Trinity rugby football captain and Sri Lanka Youth rugby captain Tharinda Ratwatte was awarded the Ryde Gold Medal, the school’s highest accolade, at Trinity College’s annual prize-giving which took place at their hall on 13 February, with Duminda Hulangamuwa as the Chief Guest.
Ratwatte went on to capture the Ruggerite of the Year award and the Best Sportsman of the Year award. The Ryde Gold Medal is named after former Principal Rev. W. Ryde (1900-1902).
