Ravindu and Mihilia become Ritzbury Junior National Squash Champions

At the Sri Lanka Squash Federation’s 23rd annual Ritzbury Junior National Squash Championship, Ravindu Laksiri claimed the male under 19 ‘Naveen Piyatissa challenge trophy’ while Mihilia Methsarani won the female under 19 ‘Nirasha Guruge challenge trophy’.

Druvinke Perera and Sanduni Gunawardena became the outstanding male and female players of the tournament respectively. The concluding ceremony of the tournament was held under the patronage of Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Sports, Renuka Amarasinghe.

The Ritzbury Junior National Squash Championship organized by the Sri Lanka Squash Federation was held from 13th to 20th October at the Tamil Union Sports Complex. The number one chocolate brand of Sri Lanka, Ritzbury chocolates of the CBL family was the sole sponsor of the tournament for the fifth consecutive year.  

Ritzbury Junior National Squash Championship is of the utmost importance to junior Sri Lankan squash players as the authorities consider their performances in this tournament when they select players for the Asian Junior Squash Championships.
