Sri Lanka welcomes the Red Bull BC One All Stars, with four of the best B-Boys on the planet returning for a second trip to the island.
The Red Bull BC One All Stars are a team of nine of the world’s best dancers, representing the best of the best in the scene. Together they showcase the art of B-Boying.
Each crewmember is an outstanding individual in his community and each brings a certain style, skillset and original movement to the group, from hardcore power moves to intricate footwork.
‘B-Boying’ is a unique style of street dancing that originated from New York in the early 1970s. The style is very popular in South Korea, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia and Japan.
The Sri Lanka tour will start in Colombo and then travel to Galle. Sri Lankan B-Boys will have a chance to meet Roxrite (USA), a proud owner of more number-one titles than any other B-Boy. Pelezinho (Brazil), the master of acrobatic, powerful moves and flips, will also be here.
Also in tow will be Wing (South Korea), the newest member to the crew, who earned his nickname from his lightness in step and jaw-dropping aerial moves. And last but not least, two-time Red Bull BC One World Champion Lilou (Algeria) in action. All will share their knowledge of both Hip Hop culture and the incredible art form of B-Boying in workshops in Colombo, from 23 to 27 September.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity! There is no sign up or pre registration, but to show up early, as there are limited places.
From these workshops, the Red Bull BC One All Stars will select the most accomplished local B-Boys who will then have the opportunity to battle it out at Galle Fort, to be crowned Sri Lanka’s B-Boy Champion. The event is becoming an annual highlight event for all Sri Lankan B-Boys!
