Red Bull biking legend Chris enthralls Jaffna

Chris Pfeiffer yesterday enthralled people in the former war zone and now peaceful Jaffna with his heroics with his Red Bull branded motorbike.

The show opposite the Doreappa Stadium in Jaffna is part of his two city tour including Colombo. The street tour will see Chris performing alongside local drummers and dancers.

Chris Pfeiffer is a legend in the world of stunt bike riding. He took up riding motorbikes in the mid 1990s he’s been re-writing the laws of what is capable on two wheels.

In 2004 Stuntwars contest in Florida where he pulled off a 115-degree wheelie - a massive 50 degrees more than what was ever thought possible on a bike. That super-human feat not only won him the competition, but also landed him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

“Pfeiff “also has four European and four World Championship titles to his name. He is the only man in history to have scaled the level three climb at Via Tina in Arco, Italy, on his bike.  The Colombo show will be on Saturday at 3.00 p.m. at Nelum Pokuna Mawatha (Greenpath) and at 5.00 p.m. outside the World Trade Centre/BOC Road. Admission is free.
