Richmond register third outright win for season

Text and Pictures by P.D. De Silva Richmond College registered their third outright win for the season defeating St. Servatius College Matara by an innings and twelve runs last week. St. Servatius batting first were restricted to 90 runs in their first innings.  Richmond were 117/2 when bad light put an end to the first days play declared their innings at 208/4. Right hand bat Kelum Nanayakkara scored 72 runs off 105 deliveries with eight boundaries while Wanidu Hasaranga was unbeaten on 31 at the time of declaration. St. Servatius following on could not surpass the 118 run deficit and were all out for 106 runs eight minutes after tea. Ramesh Nimanth topped the score card with 40 runs scored in 63 balls. Saveen Nanayakkara and Charith Asalanka captured four wickets each.
