Ricky Ponting is swapping the cricket bat for a pen and writing his autobiography.

A day after Ponting retired from Test cricket, HarperCollins Publishers Australia announced on Tuesday his end-of-career story will be released next November.

As one of the greatest cricketers to have worn the baggy green cap, Ponting is the highest Australian run-scorer of all time in Tests and Ricky Ponting one-day international cricket, behind only India’s Sachin Tendulkar among batsmen from all countries.
