Rohan Abeykoon heads Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage

By Shamseer Jaleel Former Trinity, CH&FC, Sri Lanka centre and Chief National Selector Rohan Abeykoon was appointed as Chairman at Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Old Trinitans Rugby Scrummage, which took place on 18 August at the Orient Club, Colombo 7 Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage (OTRS) is an organisation affiliated to the Old Boys Association (OBA) parent body of Trinity College Kandy and manages rugby across all age groups at the school under the guidance of the Principal. Membership of Scrummage, which OTRS is affectionately known as amongst Trinity circles, consists of a very strong base of old Trinitians scattered across the globe. OTRS has in place a structure to implement its strategy of “consistently being a leading rugby playing school in the country”. OTRS remains responsible in the areas of management, administration and coaching of rugby at Trinity. The Trinity 1st XV has been consistently featuring within the top three the “A” Division over the past few years while winning the coveted Bradby Shield four years in a row from 2011. The new committee is as follows:
