Rowan Perry for CR

Former Australian Under 19 rugby player Rowan Perry, who was born in Belihuloya, Sri Lanka will represent CR & FC in the Inter Club League 2016/2017 rugby tournament. Perry who arrived in Sri Lanka two days back is likely to turn out for their first round match against Kandy Sports Club at Nittawela in mid-December.

Perry who was born to an Australian couple who visited Sri Lanka 22 years ago, excelled for Walkers CML Vipers in the Sri Lanka Super Sevens Rugby Tournament. With the dual citizenship being worked out he will be able to represent Sri Lanka in both forms of the game (if selected). 

He represented the Australian Under 19 outfit in 2014. According to reliable source governing body, Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) will be expecting Perry to get approval from the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) before representing for CR & FC.
