Royal Turf Club to get $ 40 m investment

The Royal Colombo Turf Club will receive an overseas investment in excess of $ 40 Million by the end of July. 

According to the RTC this will be utilised for upgrading the track and the surrounding amenities and facilities with a view to making the Nuwara Eliya Race Track a hub for regional race meets, thus not only raising the bar for local horse racing events, but generating employment as a result of the work that would commence shortly, as well as increasing tourism, particularly the in the case of high spending tourists.
