Rugby team pool selected for Commonwealth Youth Games

The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SSRFA) and Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) selected the pool for the Commonwealth Youth Games which will take place in Nassau, Bahamas from 19-23 July.

Sri Lanka Sevens Head Coach New Zealander Peter Woods will take charge of the outfit as the appointed coach Sudath Sampath will be busy with the Under-20 Sevens, which will take place in Hong Kong during early August.

Touring squad - Mohammed Shabeer and Ishara Liyanage (both from St Anthony’s), Naveen Rajaratnam, Vishwa Ranaraja, Warren Weerakoon (all from Trinity), Dayan Sabar (Wesley), Christian De Lile (S. Thomas’), Tharindu De Alwis and Gemunu Chethiya (both from St. Joseph’s), Ravin Fernando (St. Peter’s), Nadeesha Chaminda( Isipathana) and Dulanjala Piyatissa (Dharmaraja).
