Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday said that on an initiative of its President Jayantha Dharmadasa, Kumar Sangakkara met with the Executive Committee of SLC and had an open discussion.
“All differences and misunderstandings were resolved very cordially,” SLC said in a brief statement.
The run up to the decision of Sangakkara as to which team he will opt for in the T20 Champions League 2013 competition drew lot of bad air. Dropping Hyderabad Sunrisers, Sangakkara eventually decided to represent the Kandurata Maroons which qualified to play in the Champions League T20 tournament starting on 17 September in India.
SLC also announced the final team representing Kandurata Maroons. It comprises Lahiru Thirimanne (Capt), Nuwan Kulasekara (V.Capt), Upul Tharanga, Thilina Kandambhy, Kumar Sangakkara, Shehan Jayasuriya, Chamara Silva, Milinda Siriwardana, Dilhara Lokuhettige, Dhammika Prasad, Ajantha Mendis, Kaushal Lokuarachchi, Lahiru Jayaratne, Dhananjaya De Silva and Suraj Randiv.
On standby will be Malinga Bandara, Pabasara Waduge, Dasun Chanaka, S. Sanjeewan and Gayan Manishan.
The team officials will be; Manager Srinath Silva, Head Coach Chaminda Vaas, Fielding Coach Upul Chandana, Trainer Arjan Nalliah, Physio Sanjeewa Gamage, Masseuer Lasantha Jayakody, Computer Analyst Ashan De Saram and Selector on Tour Chaminda Mendis.
