At the launch of the Dialog 4G-The Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017
The Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017 was officially launched at the auditorium of Dialog Axiata at Union Place, Colombo with distinguished invitees attending the event.
Sri Lanka’s most celebrated and iconic cricketer, Kumar Sangakkara, was present as the event’s Chief Guest to kick-start the most eagerly anticipated competition which gives due recognition to Under-19 schoolboy cricketers for their performances at school and international games.
Sangakkara, a former Sri Lanka skipper and now a Brand Ambassador of Dialog, is an ardent supporter of junior cricket and is a willing character who imparts his wealth of knowledge of the game willingly and happily.
Representing Dialog Axiata, Group Marketing Vice President Rozy Laxana, Group Chief Marketing Officer Amali Nanayakkara, Head of Business, Mobile Communications Asanga Priyadarshana and General Manager, Brand and Media, Group Marketing Harsha Samaranayake were present to make the event vibrant.
Representing Wijeya Newspapers, Consultant, Corporate Planning and Director Digital Media and Wijeya Networks Udesh Gunathunga, Assistant General Manager, Brands and Promotions Sujith Pathirennehe, Sunday Times Deputy Editor Sports Ram Pathiravithana and Content and Digital Media Senior Marketing Manager Umair Wolid added value to the event with their participation.
The Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017 is now on course with the Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer contest, held under three categories, currently in progress. The Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017 takes the traditional competition to a higher level with the introduction of digital and social media.
