SAP Invitational F15 Cricket Cup 2012 kicks off in Colombo

The inaugural SAP Invitational F15 Cricket Cup 2012, an tournament organised by SAP AG as a means to bring together the SAP ecosystem of customers and partners for friendly competition on the cricket fields was off to a dazzling start with opening batsman Sahan Wijeratne of Dialog Axiata PLC hitting the first ball of the series for a four, in a match against Courtaulds Clothing Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

The tournament which commenced on 28 July will see a total of 14 teams vie for the top title over five weekends across cricket venues in Colombo.

Companies participating this year include: Camoplast Solideal (Pvt) Ltd., Ceylon Biscuits Ltd., Ceylon Petroleum, Courtaulds Clothing Lanka (P) Ltd., Dialog Axiata PLC, Hayleys PLC, Hemas Holdings, Janashakthi Insurance PLC, Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC, MAS Trading (Pvt) Ltd., Silicone Coatings Pvt Ltd. (Nippolac), Textured Jersey Lanka PLC, Unichela Pvt. Ltd., and John Keells Holdings

Dialog Axiata recorded a 104 run win over Courtaulds with 13 balls to spare at close of play.
