Scanwell Logistics has joined hands with the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) to host ‘The Junior Golf Tournament,’ which is open to all Junior Boys and Girls under 18. This event will be held on 29 August from 8 a.m. onwards. The tournament will be followed by the presentation of the Scanwell Logistics Challenge Trophy to the overall winner and awards covering each division.

Scanwell Logistics, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Chairman and Managing Director Andy Anderson stated: “Our company should always focus on the next generation and the generations to come as they are our future. I believe that by encouraging and promoting such a sport that was generally isolated to a certain segment and by inviting boys and girls from all parts of our country to take part in this Junior Golf Tournament, it will help broaden their minds whilst opening a whole new spectrum for them.”
He added that some of the youngsters project such high standards that soon with such talent they can compete internationally.
“The Scanwell Group of Companies has made it a mandate to focus on the youth of this country and will continue to seek such opportunities wherever possible and will also make the ‘The Junior Golf Tournament’ an annual event, which will be hosted by Scanwell Logistics,” he added.
