The Sri Lanka Super Sevens second leg will be worked off on 12 and 13 August at the Racecourse rugby grounds in Colombo.
In the schools segment, St. Peter’s College (30), St. Joseph’s College (25) and Isipathana (21) will start at the top three positions, which will offer them a major advantage over the other schools. In the franchise segment, the Mobitel SLT Eagles (30), Softlogic Warriors (25) and Cargills Gladiators (21) will hold the top three positions for the second and final leg.
National Selector Michael Jayasekera and his team will keep a close eye on the action as this tournament will be used as a yardstick to select the Sri Lanka Sevens outfit for the Asian Sevens Series in Hong Kong, which will take place during the first weekend of September.
The first day’s play will commence with a game between St. Peter’s and Prince of Wales while the franchise segment will kick off with a game between first leg champions, the SLT Mobitel Eagles and the Access Kings in the evening.
